After India’s successful participation as the Partner Country on Hannover Messe 2015, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched his initiative “Make in India”, the Embassy of India in Berlin implemented the unique programme “Make In India Mittelstand!” (MIIM) – A Market Entry Support Programme for facilitating investments by German Mittelstand and family owned companies in India. The programme is supported by concerned Central and State Government Ministries in India and by engaging key industry partners who can help the companies in various aspects of market entry into India. The MIIM programme offers a wide range of business support services under a single platform. Services include strategy consulting, M&A, operational market entry support, tax & legal support, financial services, project financing, location services, technology collaboration, facilitation of approvals from central & state agencies and access to government agencies.
Since 2015, EAC is official knowledge partner of the Embassy of India in Berlin and is coordinating the implementation of the programme in close cooperation with several partners in Germany and India.
Workshops, networking events and exchange platforms take place on a regular basis.
For more than 20 years EAC has supported leading MNC’s and SME’s in the development of their India strategies, in the search for potential acquisition targets and subsequent M&A implementation, as well as the formulation of location, distribution and personnel concepts and the realization of investment projects. Extensive industry-specific know-how and familiarity with the local “rules of the game”, experience in negotiating M&A transactions with Indian enterprises and with their particularities, as well as ongoing experience with Indian authorities in company set-up and implementation projects (greenfield, brownfield) are our core competences. In addition, EAC has an excellent network in Indian industry, from companies, industry associations and market experts to government authorities at central, provincial and local level.
